About Bri
Bri Reads (she/her) is an international preschool teacher turned content creator with a passion for children’s literacy. Bri’s YouTube channel brings stories to life with interactive read-alouds, original songs, and crafts for a global audience.
Beginning as an educator in Hanoi, Vietnam, then performer with Disney’s World of English in Tokyo, Bri developed a unique storytelling voice. On tours all across Japan and the United States, Bri has merged education and theatre to bring immersive experiences to English language learners and young readers alike. Whether it’s on camera, on the stage, or in a classroom, Bri Reads continues to make a lasting impact on children's lives worldwide.

she/herLeah is a performer, writer, and educator who has worked extensively throughout North America directing and performing in schools, institutions, and touring arenas. Most recently, she served as the Director of Community Outreach for Bay Area Children’s Theatre, where she expanded arts access across the San Francisco Bay Area through partnerships with leading organizations including KQED, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Bay Area Book Festival and Hemophilia Foundation of Northern California. In 2023, Leah and Bri traveled to 23 U.S. states together on the national tour of Llama Llama Live!

Ali Travis is a musician, illustrator and animator who is passionate about the joy of creativity. He partnered with Bri Reads as a performer touring across the United States (Bay Area Children’s Theatre) and as a children’s teaching artist (Berkeley Repertory Theatre). He is constantly seeking avenues to promote creative freedom for both children and adults everywhere.

Alexander Kirk

he/himAlex and Bri have been creative collaborators since high school, leading the largest high school reading club in the country - Club RIF (Reading is Fundamental). Together, they promoted the joy of reading through performances and free book distribution events in their community. Since then, Alex has transitioned into the world of entertainment, leading global marketing campaigns for some of the biggest blockbusters in film.

she/herAlyssa Jewell is a musician, Children’s Librarian, and mom with a deep love for storytime. She is the creator of La La Librarian, a website offering thoughtfully curated storytime resources for early childhood educators and children’s librarians. Alyssa holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science and a degree in Theatre Education, along with K–12 teaching certification. She is the author of Move, Play, Learn: Interactive Storytimes with Music, Movement, and More, and has co-written three musicals for young audiences. Alyssa has also collaborated with several best-selling children’s authors to adapt their books into engaging musical and theatrical works.

he/himMark has been creating music for families and children for over 20 years. Recent works have been used for the Japanese TV Network NHK, Sea World, Disney’s World of English, and other international entertainment companies. Bri and Mark met in Asia while performing on stage for children. Mark’s goal is for all kids to be literate in English as well as music. Read on, sing on, and dream on!
